Born 19 th july as the only child of the academic painter Helmuth Gräff (born 1958) and the highschoolprofessor of art Martina Maria (born Gach; 1957). The family lived in St. Leonhard am Hornerwald, Vienna and Gars am Kamp

1987

 

At the age of three young Matthias had already developed his love for art and drawing. Beginning at the age of three he stayd at his fathers studio. In the studio of his father he had been drawing thousends of artworks

During the 64th yearly fair of St. Pöltens Künstlerbund (Art union) Gräff received the "Adolf Peschek Preis" (Adolf Peschek Public Award) in the Museum of the City of St. Pölten

Together with Georgia Kazantzidu Gräff organized in his hometown Gars am Kamp the concert of the famoust blues, rockn roll and boogie band of Austria, the Mojo Blues Band

2014

 

In 2014 Gräff received from mayor's bureau the contract to create the vine etiquettes "Garser Wein 2014". A local businessman boycott the publishing of the etiquettes and this led to a massmedia scandal in Austria as well as in Germany. The reason of the boycott was the illustration of a half naked woman. The public disliked the idea of censuring the Arts

Matthias Laurenz Gräff, as chairman of the worldwide Union "Familienverband Gräff-Graeff e. V." (Family Union Graeff) since its foundation in 2013, organized the first worldwide reunion meeting on the occasion of the "530 years Graeff" at the castle of Kornberg in Styria/Austria
